What Subjects Are Being Superceded?

(CTS attempts to email all administrators in the training system the details pertaining to any subject changes as soon as the changes are made publicly available. Please keep your administrator email address up to date, and white list '@ctsys.com' on your email systems)


CTS Currently lists the following subjects as Superceded:

  • AeroNav Charts - SUPERCEDED    Replaced by AeroNav Charts Overview
  • GPS - Fixed Wing - SUPERCEDED    Replaced by GPS (FW)
  • GPS - Rotor Wing - SUPERCEDED    Replaced by GPS (RW IFR-VFR)
  • GPS - Rotor Wing - VFR - SUPERCEDED    Replaced by GPS (RW VFR)
  • ILS PRM - SUPERCEDED    Replaced by PRM-SOIA Procedures
  • Jeppesen Instrument Charts - SUPERCEDED    Replaced by Jeppesen Charts Overview
  • Land and Hold Short - SUPERCEDED    Replaced by Land and Hold Short Operations
  • METAR - SUPERCEDED    Replaced by METAR and TAF
  • RNP - SUPERCEDED Replaced by Performance Based Navigation (PBN)
  • RVSM-DRVSM - SUPERCEDED Replaced by Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM)
  • TSA 12.5 SSP Training - GSC - SUPERCEDED
  • TSA 12.5 SSP Training - ISC - SUPERCEDED
    • The old TSA Subjects have been replaced by 3 variations. One combined Ground Security and In-flight Security subject (TSA 12.5 SSP GSC-ISC), A Ground Security only version (TSA 12.5 SSP GSC), and an In-flight Security only version (TSA 12.5 SSP ISC
  • US RNAV Operations - SUPERCEDED Replaced by Performance Based Navigation (PBN)


Any subjects currently in the superceding process will be listed below. The replacement subjects are also listed to assist in identifying what to use as a replacement subject. We will included a detailed timeline for when the subjects will be marked as superceded, effectively making them no longer be accessible or assignable.
